Starhotels, the first hotel group towards Italian art crafts, participates in Homo Faber in Città with “L'Italia nel Cuore,” a special exhibition dedicated to the theme of the heart, in the elegant spaces of the Splendid Venice - Starhotels Collezione. An installation dense with symbolism and figurative and cultural references, which fits perfectly with the central theme of this edition of Homo Faber, The Journey of Life.
More than 60 hearts from Elica Studio's outstanding “‘In alto i cuori" porcelain collection will be arranged in the settings of the Splendid Venice. Each masterfully handcrafted heart is a work of art celebrating life in all its facets, from the deepest love to the lightest irony.
Elica Studio was founded in 1995 by Elisabetta Bovina and Carlo Pastore, two of Italy's most significant and talented master potters, known worldwide for their refined and sublime eclecticism. In 2022 they received the MAM – Maestro d’arte e Mestiere (Master of Arts and Crafts) award dedicated to the great practitioners of Italian know-how, just one of many prizes and accolades they have received.
An extraordinary initiative of contemporary patronage, which is part of the project La Grande Bellezza - The Dream Factory, promoted by Starhotels to protect and promote the national heritage of talent and savoir-faire, in collaboration with Fondazione Cologni, OMA - Osservatiorio dei Mestieri d'Arte and Gruppo Editoriale.
At the XXX edition of Artigianato e Palazzo, Starhotels presents the ten finalists of the "La Grande Bellezza - The Dream Factory" Award, a biennial competition that celebrates the excellence and innovation of Italian craftsmanship.
